Biography:
Mack Dion McGhee was born in Chicago Heights, IL. At the age of 19, Mack became the victim of violence while at a New Year’s Eve Party. During the attack, he took three blows to the head and face with the clawed side of a hammer, requiring 36 stitches to his face and head. This incident was a turning point for Mack.

Determined to make something out of his life, he worked diligently to climb off of academic probation and transferred to Governors State University where he successfully completed a BA Degree in Criminal Justice. He continued on to complete a MA in Political and Justice Studies by the age of 24.

Since that time, Mack has been gainfully employed with several child welfare and human services agencies in the State of Illinois. In the last 14 years he has worked in various capacities dedicated to the goal of empowering, encouraging and motivating youth and individuals to succeed -- no matter their circumstance.

Mack has spoken to, and inspired, thousands of youth and adults in his time working in the field. His message is simply to help others to discover their purpose through inspiration. He is a Nationally Certified High School Presenter for Making It Count and spoken to thousands of High School students this school year throughout the City of Chicago and the greater metropolitan area, as well as presenting in Michigan, Indiana and Oklahoma.

Mack has a special gift in being able to reach young people. Because of this, he has emerged as a recognized expert on youth. He is a consultant in this area and has worked with local universities on numerous research-based projects that focus on children and teens. Currently Mack serves as the Post-Release Administrator for Treatment Alternatives for Safe Communities (TASC) and the Illinois Department of Corrections.

In addition, he is the CEO of Transforming Lives International. a company he launched in 2006 that is dedicated to helping others discover their purpose through inspiration.

He is one of nine speakers featured in the book From Mediocre to Magnificent, which profiles the top up-and-coming motivators nationwide. In this compendium, he outlines the keys that have vaulted him to success. This formula is embraced in his M.A.C.K. PACK, which stands for Motivation, Attitude, Commitment and Knowledge.

Mack is a member and President of the award-winning Homewood-Flossmoor Toastmasters Club 1451 where in 2006 he won the International Speech Contest for the Club, Area, and South Division of District 30. Mack’s goal is to be a World Class International Speaker, Trainer, Consultant, Author and Life Coach. Mack is also a proud member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc.
